Dakar 18 is a racing video game developed by Bigmoon Entertainment and published by Deep Silver for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows based on the most famous annual rally organized by the Amaury Sports Organisation. The Dakar Rally is a rally raid endurance race that's regarded as one of the most arduous and demanding events on the motorsports calendar. Running for the 40th time in 2018, this year's edition has a route of 9000 km, is also the 10th Dakar Rally to participate in South America since the series' relocation from Europe and Africa in 2009.

Dakar 18 is a racing game set in an open world environment. It features both offline and online single-player and multiplayer modes. The world of the game is over 5,791 square miles (15,000 km²) in size, which is roughly the size of the U.S. state of Connecticut (or the Moquegua Region of Peru), and completely explorable.[4] Five categories of vehicles will be available, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, quads and UTVs. Players will also have the option to exit their vehicle and explore the world by foot

Forza Horizon 3 is an open world racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game features cross-platform play between the two platforms. Forza Horizon 3 is a racing video game set in an open world environment based in Australia, with the map twice the size of that in Forza Horizon 2, and includes places such as Surfers
Paradise, Byron Bay, and the Outback. The game features a four-player co-operative multiplayer campaign and cross-platform play, as it is a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. A total of 350 cars are available to players at launch – the most amount of cars to be featured in a Horizon game as of yet.

Upon release, the game received largely positive reviews, with critics praising the game's new additions, content, and weather effects.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (also known as Need for Speed: Most Wanted - A Criterion Game; commonly shortened to Most Wanted 2012) is an open world racing game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. Announced on 4 June 2012, during EA's E3 press conference, Most Wanted is the nineteenth title in the long-running Need for Speed series and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, iOS and Android, beginning in North America on 30 October 2012, with a Wii U version following on 14 March 2013 under the title Need for Speed: Most Wanted U.The game picked up on the Most Wanted intellectual property, as opposed to the Hot Pursuit reboot that Criterion developed previously.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted received positive reviews, which focused on the world map that blended the styles of previous Burnout and Need for Speed games, and the social features, while criticism fell on the single-player mode. Following its release, the game won several awards including the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards for Best Driving Game and was nominated for Best British Game and Best Online Multiplayer at the 2013 BAFTA Awards, and was repeatedly recognized as the best driving/racing game of 2012 by several outlets.
