Horizon Zero Dawn is Guerrilla Games' first intellectual property since Killzone in 2004 and its first role-playing game. The game engine, Decima, was developed for Killzone Shadow Fall and altered for Horizon Zero Dawn. Being set in a post-apocalyptic setting, anthropologists were consulted to authenticate the world's decay over a millennium. The soundtrack was led by composer Joris de Man, featuring contributions from The Flight.

Players are given control over some of Walker's attributes, such as their gender, skills, or attire. Walker is able to wield various firearms and tools to fight against enemies, including returning weapons such as the wingstick. Players can develop Walker's skills with Nanotrite-based powers. Through a mode called Overdrive, Walker's guns do more damage, enemies drop more energy and they get healed constantly  providing players with an aggressive way to mow down enemies.Nanotrites from the first game, which act as special powers and ability boosts, can also be used to increase combat efficiency. The game also features vehicular combat, including trucks, buggies and gyrocopters, with the player being able to drive any vehicle in the game's world.

Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the first title in the series to be set primarily during World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008. Upon release, the game received generally positive reviews from critics, with many appreciating the return to the franchise's World War II roots. Praise was given towards its story, visuals, Zombies mode, and multiplayer, however it was criticized for the single-player's lack of innovation and over-familiarity compared to previous installments set in the same era.






Similar to its predecessors, Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter game but it removes the advanced system of movement present in the two previous Call of Duty titles, which included double jumping and wall running. Instead, it features a return of traditional movement to the series, taking it back to a "boots on the ground" gameplay style. The game does not feature an unlimited sprint mechanic, seen in the previous two titles.[3] Instead of a "slide" movement mechanic, which allowed players to slide quickly on the ground, WWII features a "hit-the-deck" mechanic that allows the player to leap forward and throw themselves on the ground in order to get to cover quickly, similarly to a previous mechanic known as "dolphin dive" in Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
